Was born 09.02.1974 in Altenburg. Four years and eleven days
later my little sister Susann arrived in my life. In the summer of the following
year a change of residence became necessary out of space reasons. This move brought
me and my family to Bad Salzungen. There in Bad Salzungen I grew up well looked
after… well there wasn't much growing involved. My childhood and youth I experienced
as everybody else. Also I did enough stupid things and practical jokes. But the
reality of life catches up early enough.
After school I did my training as a ships mechanic at the German shipping
company. There I learned the basic knowledge for seafaring. During my training
I was on different ships, around the world. Under the given circumstances I went to
China, Singapore, Venezuela, Columbia, Finland and lots of other places.
After my training I worked on the ferry 'Olau Britania', which ships between
Holland and England, in the engine room. After that I did jobs as a mechanic and
did my civil service at the 'Deutsche Rote Kreuz' in Bad Salzungen. Where I drove
handicapped children to school, occasionally sickness transports or emergency drives
with an ambulance.
Following my civil service I found a job by
TT-Line GmbH & Co. KG. There I worked
at the Ferry 'Robin Hood', which ships between Travemünde (Germany) and Trelleborg
(Sweden), in the deck department. After some time I got a permanent contract on the
Ferry 'Nils Hollgersson V' in the engine department. I remained on the Ferry till
it got a new destination. Now it was named 'Tom Sayer' and shipped between 'Rostock'
and 'Trelleborg'. With this change I got a new task of my own on a new Ferry 'Nils
HollgerssonVI' which I am still working on deck.
This is the reason why I haven't got the chance to take care of this Internet
presence on a regular basis. Because I don't just work at the Ferry, no, I do live
there most of my life (182 days a year) and during this time I haven't got Internet
access. I can only work on this site when I am off and at home in Roevershagen near Rostock,
where I lived since January 2003.
